Bathroom remodel - part 2

I declare bathroom week!!
It has been a while since my last post but here I am full of updates. This project took FOREVER to complete and yes it is compete! Finally! And we absolutely love how it turned out. Now that the bathroom is complete I hope things slow down around here for awhile because I need a break.
Here are a few pictures of the process.

Here are the studs and new pluming for shower. Demoing the walls was a bit scary because we feared finding mold or termite damage and it turns out everything was AOK(you never know what you will find with old house). We framed out an inset shelf which turned out really nice as well.

Now the installation and cement board goes up. This step took a while since we don't have the proper tools so we use what we had and it took about 10 minutes or more for each cut. Good times in the rain and wind.

We used a water proofing substance (the pink stuff) to seal all of the seams. Two days and 600 tiles later the tiling was complete. This part was the worst part of this entire project. It was never ending and I started going crazy around hour 8 of day 2, not to mention I ran 10 miles earlier that day and had no energy left in me. With the work behind us I can say now it was worth it. LOVE IT!

Then we moved to the floor. Our bathroom is small and it still took us a Friday night to remove the vinal flooring. We were using a paint scraper to scrape the floor. Like I mentioned before we get creative with what we have.

We took out the vanity, sink, toilet and door molding.

That is enough for tonight. I will post the rest of the progress in the next day or so.
